On the afternoon of April 12, Professor Sun Fengchun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, well-known expert in the field of new energy vehicles, and professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, came to our school for inspection and exchange. Yi Bing, deputy secretary of the party committee and president, Wei Kexiang, member of the party committee and vice president, the head of the New Energy Vehicle Innovation Research Institute, and the deans of relevant colleges attended the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Wei Kexiang.

On behalf of the school, Yi Bing extended a warm welcome to Academician Sun Fengchun. He briefly introduced our school, hoping to strengthen cooperation with Academician Sun Fengchun's team in new energy vehicle technology research and development, academic exchanges, and high-level talent training to vigorously promote the construction of the New Energy Vehicle Innovation Research Institute of our school.

At the meeting, Huang Zhonghua, executive director of the New Energy Vehicle Innovation Research Institute, introduced the construction plan of the research institute. Zhang Xizheng, vice president of the research institute, reported on the work of the research team in intelligent driving and other aspects. Professor Li Junqiu of Beijing Institute of Technology introduced the research direction and some research results of Academician Sun Fengchun's team.

Academician Sun Fengchun listened carefully to the work report and learned about the recent development of the New Energy Vehicle Innovation Research Institute in our school. He put forward pertinent suggestions for the school's scientific and technological innovation layout, saying that resources should be further integrated to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of new energy vehicles. He encouraged us to compete for high-level projects and yield high-level results, cultivating outstanding talents for the industry.
